About Company

Computers & Electronics World, a leading After Sales Service Provider, was established in Abu Dhabi in 1986. In November 2001, Mr. Audie D’Souza took over the operations of Computer World, focusing on IT related Services.  In October 2005, Computer World became a Limited Liability Company (LLC), with Mr. Saeed Mazroui and Mr. Audie D’Souza as joint partners, with a paid up capital of Dhs. 200,000.- 

Brief

With a wide customer base of Corporate Customers, as well as Small Businesses, we have been able to prove our ability to support organizations that depend on Computer Networks and Communications for  their day-to-day operations. We are also ideally suited to implement  IT procedures of major multinationals, because of our experience in implementing such processes.   Although we stared in a very small way, we are now a financially stable company, with zero debt and growth, with a current turnover target of 4M Dirhams. This success can be directly attributed to the faith of our long term customers in Computer World. Our clientele, some going back couple of decades, supports us with the trust that is normally kept for in-house IT services. We have grown as they have. Many have grown from 5 users to more than 100.   

Timeline

• 2001 - Computer World became a Microsoft Small Business Partner, allowing us to showcase the Small Business Networks and Application Strategy from Microsoft, one of the just two such companies in Abu Dhabi.  
• 2002 - we were appointed preferred resellers of DTK Computers in Abu Dhabi
• 2007 - we were appointed Sole Agents for UAE for CADOPIA CAD Software, authorized resellers for BrowseControl, Internet & Application Access control software, and AVG Anti Virus & Security Software
• 2009 - we became a Gold Level Reseller of AVG and the preferred partner of Current Ware, makers of BrowseControl.
• 2010 - we became authorized partners of Avaya Digital & IP Phone systems and gained the distributorship of CurrentWare Software in UAE

 Inside Computer World

Our office in Abu Dhabi runs on a Microsoft Back Office SBS Server Premium 2008, serving as the back bone for a network of Windows XP Workstations, complete with messaging, Internet Access, a Corporate Intranet, backup and testing utilities.  Most of the lines of Microsoft software is available for demo.   Currently, for service, we have a team of 5 Engineers and 3 vehicles, so that any call can be attended to, in the shortest possible time. We have also started remote VPN and Win-Assistance based remote tech support for more quick problem resolution.   Communication is provided by a Avaya Digita and VoIP PABX with analog lines, voice messaging. Internet access using Broadband ADSL, connected to the network by a Firewall.   Because we are registered Microsoft MAPS Partner, the software used is exclusively by Microsoft – Windows Small Business Server, Microsoft Windows (currently Windows 7), Microsoft Office 2010. Demo facilities for most of Microsoft’s suite of software is available on request.
